Beam It Right

The other day, I read about a latest LED projector called LG HS201 in The Hindu weekend Metro Plus. Just the week before, I had the opportunity to use it. My friend Abhilash who is crazy of new gadgets had bought it from US. What surprised me was the price difference of the gadget in US compared to India. The article quoted it for ` 50,000 where as Abhi had bought if for just $ 480 (around ` 21000 under current exchange rate).

The projector is as small as a lunch box and is perfect for impromptu entertainment.It also has a lamp life of 30,000 hours. I connected my laptop output to it to watch the movie 'The Cinderella Man". I was also able to connect my DTH connection output to it to create a theater like experience for TV. Here are the pics.

My Creative 5.1 output speakers were handy to get better movie experience. Like all projectors, this would need a dark room for perfect projection. Television has evolved from old 'black and white' CRT screens to modern color 3D LED screens. Now can they become anymore slimmer than this?
